Default safc neo on comptech kit

i just bought my 01 s with 22000 miles and the novi 1000 kit on it. I am wanting to put a safc neo on it to help keep an eye on the peramiters and turn the vetech engagment down to a lower rpm. Will this be worth the money or is what ever computer that came with this system realiable A/F ratio wise to keep me safe?

you actually are gonna want the VAFC to tune the vtec. SAFC is only good for tuning fuel

I believe the NEO is both...VAFC and SAFC which is kinda the same thing just with the vtec option.

But im pretty sure that was a typo on his part. I was under the impression that all the neos had vtec control

The NEO does have both. Here's a link to it on the A'PEXi site

I've been wondering about the same thing. There are a few RPM points where my car was a little lean during my dyno session. Wondering if this would be a decent tuning tool, short of going with the new Hondata box or other standalone. Our Smog Nazi's use the OBDII port, so I've been leaning towards the Hondata box if I decide to go with bigger injectors, smaller pulleys, etc..
