Again this is a misnomer.

With the bypass technology there is next to no parasitic loss of HP off of the crank when at light loads ( in vacume).

At approx 70mph at light loads a CT/VT/KW setup has about the same HP draw as a roots supercharger which is almost next to nothing
A twin screw AKA WHIPPLE has a bit more because despite having the bypass technology there is still work being done to the incoming air mass due to its internal compression regardless of supercharger RPM.

The CT/VT/KW units at that speed are not rotating fast enough at 70mph and light loads to have very much internal compression and thus drag.

All forms of forced induction require work to be input into there specific from of compression/movement of air be it a bet driven supercharger (centrifugal or positive displacement) or a turbo even those electric superchargers.

Nothing is free in the world of thermodynamics.

My MY06 is comptech charged w/ aftercooler. its been awesome and I havnt had any problems. Its on stock boost w/ a comptech header and mugen exhaust. Made 303whp. This was suprisingly high for the standard boost level (5.5PSI). Im going dual kpro w/ a 10lb pulley this summer. hoping for 350ish.

Comptech ftw.

You have a good flowing exhuast so those numbers are good and not suprising. The Comptech 4 into 1 header can take most of the prais for this.

I made 350whp at 10.5 psi with a stock header and a piggy back. You will make that min with your set up at 10psi

Yes the roots supercharger does produce more initial IAT then say a turbo or centrifugal supercharger; this is because the ROOTS does not have internal compression and has lower over all compressor efficiencies. ( once I can get my hands on a TVS unti for a reasonable price the efficiency numbers will be in the Roots favor )


But once everything is intercooled properly IATs are comparable the same between the three FI types offered for the S2000.

Having proper fuel delivery is the key there. There is no other reason but foolishness to have blown up a 7-9 psi centrifugal blower kit, timing isnt even in the equation at this level. The fact still remains there is allot less to think about with running one of these kits vs the alternatives.

Same here no timing being pulled on mine. @5.5 to 6psi


I am actually add in timing in the lower rpms to smooth out the vtec transition at 4k even more then it is with FI.
