^^^ the toyo R888 are supose to be even better yet. The RA1 is great but its being discontinued in place for these, they are old tech at this point.
yeah and honestly i think that sucks. the ra1 is 8/32 full thread depth, has 100 threadwear, and to me is a perfect r comp daily driver tire with max mileage capability in that compound. i had advans a048, they are similiar in thread pattern to the r888, and they howled at speed and had only 6/32 depth, like the r888.

ehh, if your competitive, then yeah its a step in the right direction, but if you want a super sticky daily driver tire, the ra1 is frigggin awesome. at least for one year or two i will enjoy this tire. then i will have to find something similiar to replace it with.

note, i do not drive my car competively so i can not attest at all to the dynamics of the tire on a track. but, in straight line, they hold my power pretty damn good, which is nothing to sneeze at.

i almost bought the re01 disc special from tire rack, but they woulda just spun like my 615's. the test will be when i go back to teh track in may. first time there i couldnt floor it till 3rd gear rofl. now, i should be able to cut that 12 i wanted.

I think im gonna go with the KW it sounds pretty calm. Plus with the new release they are expecting, it seems like the perfect stock engine setup. You all have been a great help, also does the KW kit have a BOV?

I think thats a good choice, seems like the guys in my area who have them are happy and from what I know about the kit it seems pretty sound. No I dont think a BOV is incorparated, likely recirc.
