Default How hot is too hot?

Ok, I was going to relocate my battery to the trunk but after some measuring in the bay, I believe I have found an alternate location. I plan to weld 2 brackets onto the center support beam and mount the battery on the bracket near the center as pictured. My concern is that this will make the battery too hot. What do you think? Note: I will be using an optima style gel battery not the one pictured:

Why again are you relocating the battery?

ohhhh.... IC... welll YOU SUCK!

If you have a battery box, line the box with adhesive backed heat tape on the inside and on the back of the box that faces the block and then it should be just fine.

From what I see, looking at the MSDS for the battery, you should not see any problems, just as long as you keep the temp below 110

No I'm using the V1 there will be enough space to fit the battery with the intake tube reversed.

I do not see any reason the temps would get over 200F (coolant temp) with the ventilation in there. Probably a bit lower.

I bent some metal around a battery tray to use as a heat shield. I'll probably paint it to match the the pipes and then cut out a plate to tie down down the battery and paint it to match also. Hopefully it will look alright when finished and get the job done.

Seems like a lot of work when the battery will fit in its stock location. But hey you are the lucky one with the turbo kit

It won't fit in the stock location. That pic is not the manifold I have.
