Springs and effect on spool and WG question
So I'm chasing an issue, seems like its my wastegate when attached to a mitty vac isnt holding pressure I'm hoping its that as running out of ideas
I spoke to owen developments and mentioning swapping out my circa 7psi spring for a 14psi, i mentioned i heard it has a positive effect spool on spool and they said its not true?!?
I'm running an AEM V2, MAC boost solenoid running 20psi on a mase GT35R setup, i had an old v44 TIAL which i think the diaphragm has gone.
Is the MVR top housing actually smaller in depth etc?
Anyone used a precision PW46? how does that compare in size to an V44? would the extra 2mm flow be beneficial i guess I'm running a big turbo and small boost (20psi with GT35R)
Thanks

i have heard that if you use a spring closer to your target boost rate it will spool faster. however, i am not sure if its true. it makes sense, but if you use a ebc, you can manipulate it and put pressure on the top of the gate to keep it closed, so that to me really seems like its better to increase spool then the stiffer spring. a stiffer spring will still crack open the gate before the spring boost target. an ebc will keep it closed until last second.
