Default step deck sleeved darton f22c

hi guys ,

i try to find info about it but i just cant find it , my tunner got a f22c Wet darton sleeved block layin , ask a really good price for it but e told me exited like the engine its even step deck ?
i was like ok what whats its supose to do ? told me that its to make more sealed surface for big HP but im only looking for around 400 whp so did i really need this ? its really a must ?
its reliable or not , i should ask them to juste deck it to the same heith ask the block ?

Step decking is literally like .0003" difference between the outside to the bores. It makes a better seal because the bores are that much taller then the outside. If you deck it again you'll only be messing with a bunch of other geometry's.

stock block can hold upwards of 700whp. Nothing more reliable than OEM, and if 400 is your goal. Just get one of those.

Thats what I did.
