Which Supercharger?

Can u shed some light on the parts u rated non impressive? I ordered the larger heat exchanger aswell as the non SL 1200. Now the only thing I'm still scratching my head over is the bypass valve, where does it mount and what is it.. Bosch? Is it easy to change to a higher quality bov? I know it's not a hard thing to do on the Vortech system.
Anything else I should consider changing Before I receive and install my kit?
One last question one step colder plugs? I hear people rant and rave on about these what is recommended? And are they easily accesible.. I'm in Sydney.

If you ordered the larger front heat exchanger you will be good to go. Most cars will never need any more than that. At higher boost pressures you may want to start thinking about a larger aftercooler but there is only 3 peopl i know of that would benifit from this.
As for the Bosch bypass, it works great and is reliable but it can olny hold back so much boost and flow so much RPM. Now I have to speak from listening to experts at Vortech/Paxton and others but after 10-13PSI you should be looking for a heavier/larger valve.
I would recomend a 8 heat range plug and I prefer NGK's BKR8EIX which should be availible nearly anywhere.
[QUOTE]Comptech is carb legal, where as SOS is not, if this is a concern for you with taking emission testing/inspection.

I will add that Vortech is also not CARB legal
Actually, I think your both right. The early version for the AP1 is CARB certified- the version for AP2 DBW is not - yet.
Go SOS Stage 2 with the 1200 blower and upgraded heat exchanger...you'll be happy. It's clean and the install is simple. No issues with high IAT here (water wetter).
If I'm going to stage 2, I may as well get the AEM 6052, and have Evans tune it, for that matter, have Evans install the Comptech and get SOS Compech upgrade kit to go with it. I guess my choice will be based on tuning / tuners as opposed to what supercharger. After all, all the excellant hardware in the world will never make up for the idiot (me) that tunes it.
