I ran 8lbs with no AC for over a year. Some of that time was E-manage but then I upgraded to AEM. Good tuning is the secret.

And I am in the process of installing the AC at present. I have the box in. Just have to route the plumbing and mount the pump and radiator.

At the same time I am slowly piecing together a turbo kit.

The AC is much cheaper than buying a E-manage or a AEM plus all the tuning. If you want to run a 7 lbs. pulley.

Most people don't have dyno's near by.

Not only is an AC not cheaper than an E-manage it is also not an alternative. If you add an AC your FPR sees less boost (although the same amount of air) so you run lean. Then if you up the boost you will be even closer to a danger point.

Get your tuning right before you start upping boost.
