Supercharger or Turbo?
thanks guys... and i do search im on here everyday ive looked at all kinds of kits..... i hate when people get bent out of shape when people ask questions... i justed wanted to state my exact numbers and see what you guys would suggest... isnt that what forums are for, all of us to help each other out and share our common interests.... and my goal of 400 is just because i dont have the money to go turbo and build up the motor... therefor i was thinking gt35r.. so when i do build my motor up i can run a whole hell of alot more power..... my car is my hobby i plan on having it forever and i want to do things right the first time around..... i have one of the first 500 s2000's made and i try to keep the miles down 14,xxx i want this to eventually be my weekend car with bad ass power... my friend has a 400 whp eclipse with a 20g in it fully built head, pretty sick.. and another one of my friends has a N/A mustang 5.0 runnin 9.7's and a supercharged 5.0 runnin 10's I LOVE CARS thanks for your guys opinions and help and keep this topic goin if youd like i always like readin your sugggestions
have you been in at least a 300whp s2k? and really drive it? i mean.. REALLLY drive it? if your going for a drag, you must realize the s2k is NOT a drag car... 300whp is pretty nice for daily... but if your used to High whp numbers or something like 400+ awhp like i was, then 300whp isnt enough. 400whp in an s2k is ALOT. think about traction. think about components breaking. Although the s2k is STRONG, it wasnt designed for that power. if you said you dont have the money to go turbo and build the up the motor, then you need to think twice on going FI in the first place. This is a VERY expensive game.
I personally love turbo but thats because i've been with them for years. So its something i know of. plus i love the low end grunt vs, building boost as you go.
My suggestion is, start at the beginning. build something reliable now. as mentioned above 300-350whp is PLENTY. especially as a daily... now if you wanna make it a weekend car later on like you said... then go all out... but its how much you wanna spend....
Were not here to get on you about reading information. but when someone thats new keeps coming up with questions about sc vs turbo.... it gets redundant. everyone else had to read and learn, your no different.
I wish you happy modding, its fun, and can be rewarding... but also will come with a price.
