I have not driven a turbo S, but I am at 16psi on Novi 1200, and although driving through town it is like stock, when you get on it, it goes! I am right around 400whp and when I do a 3rd gear pull it is freaking fast! I have smoked many big V8 cars on the highway...I could only imagine what it would be like with turbo. I am certainly satisfied with the current set up, but would give one word of advise...either way you go, it is going to cost you some money. I know you think you may have a budget, but something is going to break or even worse, you will get the boost bug and continue with the mods...it can never end.

Thanks for all the replies. It seems like the SC is the way to go. It's not a DD but I'll be driving it very frequently(8+ times a week) and 400-500 HP sounds AMAZING.

What SC should I buy to achieve that 400-500 HP?
What would be the typical cost to purchase&install said SC?
Would I need to change anything else with the install? (Clutch, etc.)
Would I be able to smoke newer Corvettes with that much HP?

It's not about peak hp, it's about how the power is delivered. The turbo will deliver much higher hp in the mid range all the way to redline, honestly my drivability hasn't been effected one bit since I turbod the car. Part throttle is easily controllable like stock, you won't get a sudden burst of boost like some have said. It's very predictable in terms of power delivery.

The turbo I have is a gt3076r which is one of the best street turbos out there. If I were to do it again I would go with the full race EFR t3 kit with a Borg Warner EFR 7670 turbo which is the simplest manifold you can get and will be just as reliable as any bolt on SC with none of the weaknesses of a SC.

If you have poor reliability with a turbo setup, it was setup wrong or the kit sucks. If done properly a turbo setup will be far more rewarding in the end.

Unfortunately no one really offers a 100% bolt in fuss free turbo kit for the average person. Pick up an SOS SC kit with the optional 1200 blower and make a fuss free reliable 450-500whp. It’s all you need to pull on C6 z06's and kill yourself.

$4500 for the "tuner" SC kit +$65 for the 1200 upgrade. The Tuner kit means its everything minus the EMS and injectors needed to support the system at the 450+ level. Injectors and EMS will be needed with a Turbo kit as well. SOS does provide different stages/versions of the same basic SC kit from still utilizing your factory EMS and injectors at 300whp level to get you started, or providing a higher boost kit with those if you like their provided EMS/Injectors.
