By the time you spend all that money, you could have just bought a Poopra and been 10x ahead

The trans alone cost 4k with the shifter ect. This is for a good USED unit. The cheapest i have seen them blown for is 2k and thats completely destroyed.

This is the reason i just bought a supra all together. I need to spend a lot to get the head on par but its nice to be able to build 14psi at 7500rpm on the antilag with my slicks and side step the clutch and have my car simply bog because i didnt have enough power to spin the big slicks i have.

It would be a sick solution for the street cars out there. I love the v160!

Those trannys are expensive. Time it would take custom fabbing stuff for the install im sure you could of had 8 stock trannys or swapped in a gforce 5 speed
you're missing the point. there is no CHEAP solution, any solution will cost $.
I feel this tranny is one of the better solutions out there and like i said, its not THAT much more expensive.

it will take whatever you throw at it. I can promise that. Especially since there is guys making over 1500whp with them and a lot more tq than the honda motors put out.

I think its a great idea. I dont think there is a better trans out there for this specific application.

Adapter plate to a z33 trans would be the most cost effective. The trans can be bought for less than 500, its still a 6 speed and a lot stronger than the stock trans. Theres a guy on ziptied thats made an adapter to the sr20, if I could get a f20 block to him there could be an adapter for us. My corolla isnt running yet but when it hits the road i dont wanna toss transmissions all the time, so someone needs to get this adapter happening!

We're building a setup at the moment.
The 6 speed Supra is a perfect fit. Adapter plate is made.

Next is a MY07 rear subframe to be modified for the Supra diff. Then custom driveshaft ofcourse.

Whats the adapter plate gonna cost? Assuming that a getrag bolts to it I could also bolt an R154 to it correct? Thats a route I would take.

How is the shifter placement? I've seen the supra trans in the S with the 2jz and the shifter location sucks and is farther back than where the OEM is. I'd hate to have to cut the tunnel and have to move the shifter back in the console to make the supra trans work. Will the supra trans shifter be in the OEM location and still look like its factory when bolted up to the F20 or F22 or will it be all hacked up?

This is why I mentioned the T56 or 6060's as you can adjust where you want the shifter so it will still be in the OEM location. Plus the T56 or 6060 are very similar looking to the OEM trans.
