Damn. Did you run into Compression issues after you went 10psi with the Piggyback system?

I'm very sorry to hear that you have to shop for a new motor now.

Is there anyway you could get an 07 ECU with the block you are planning on getting?

The 06+ crankshaft position sprocket and sensor are different. You'll need to swap them with 05 or earlier to work with the AP1 ECU.

That's really F'd up on how thing went down with your ex-tuner.

Your situation sound like exactly what happened to a friend of mine. He went the piggyback route with Emange Ultimate, but had the same problems as you.

At WOT, the car runs great, made great power, but his partial throttle sucked, and the AFR sometimes goes as long as 9's from what he saw from his wideband gauge. His car would stall at stops and the engine was just flooded with fuel.

I pretty much realized at that point that perhaps something is different in our earlier stock ECU's that likes to fight the piggyback systems mores so than the later MY's .

The majority of the success stories I've seen on this site with piggyback systems were from cars from 2003 and newer, and the people that have had issues were from 2000-2002. Just an observation.

I'm glad you decided to go the EMS route, there's some great deals out there for AEM's that I've seen lately. Good luck, and hope you can get back on the road soon.

Yeah thanks Brother, its hard to swallow. These companies like AEM that make these piggy backs they swear are tested and proven and then to find out we end up being the testers for thier product sucks too. There is avbiously potentule with piggy backs but they dont disclose enough info to the tuners on how to be succesful and then the other aspect of the units themselfs not having all the bugs worked out or at least black and white guidlines on what systems they work with.
