Thinking of getting a vortech kit
I've been weighing my options and I am leaning towards a vortech supercharger since comptech is going out of business.
My '01 S has 79,000 miles on it, a K and N FIPK, act clutch, lightened flywheel, and better pressure plate. Everything else is bone stock.
Could my car handle it? What kind of tuning is required after install? How much life will it suck out of my engine? My rear is stock.
If so, where is a good place to buy it? Just buy it straight from them?
Are there any high mileage boosted cars here?

No tuning required, no life really taken out of the engine, don't do burn outs and you won't blow your diff out.
No one sells comptech SCs new anymore because they went out of business.

Search could answer all those questions but...

BTW, I'm sorry about my first post, I have since fixed it...
Sorry to burst your bubble but Comptech closed down.
So its going to be really hard to find a new unit. There's always Vortech if you want to SC or turbo. I don't personally have FI (weighing my options right now) so I can't answer the rest of your question but it looks like you upgraded your clutch so you should be good there as it is recommended. Correct me if I'm wrong. Good luck!
The Vortec is basically plug and play. You do have to tap the oil pan, but a quality installer or a good mechanic can do it without much problem. I believe xviper did a write up on his install of the Vortec and you could probably find it if you look around.
