Default Those with a log manifold

Wondering how much space you guys have between the bottom of the turbine housing and the motor mount.

How much does the engine actually shift when revving? I ask because my old Turbonetics turbo had heaps of space from the motor mount and upon further inspection the Garrett turbo that I have has under an inch between the mount and the bottom of the manifold.

Is his enough space or will it hit the mount when the engine shifts?

It shouldn't hit but what i did was get a torque damper and turbo blanket to keep from melting the motor mount I have a gt35r and about 1/2 inch from the mount.

It won't hit the mount even if you do not have a torque damper. Though what I discovered later is that the heat will dry out the stock mount and it will break. I discovered this when doing a motor tear down. Went with the after market motor mounts from evasive. Plenty of space. More than the stock ever had.

I went with the black ones. Track upgrade. A little vibration, but tolerable.

I just installed the manifold and turbo and yeah, it's very very close to the motor mount. I barely have enough space to slide my fingers under the turbine housing.

Are you guys certain that this is enough room? I just really don't want to have the manifold sheer off the studs and I really don't want to buy ANOTHER turbo because I just bought this one brand new.

it doesn't move much, but i would go with a heat protection. I can get pics of ripped motor mounts but until i get my engine back from build i can't show you the innovative ones. installed.
