Default Time to Rebuild

ok this is the brake down of what happend.. I had a AP1 with over 70 thous miles on it and I put a Vortech SuperCharger kit on it and was pushing 7.5 psi stock set up.. anyway I blown the engine up to the point ware vtec dossn't kit in and it cought on fire with in 30sec of start up... ... Well I'm pulling the whole thing down and rebuilding the engine. I sold the Vortech and going Turbo with it.. My biggest ?'s are can I put forge Pistons with the stock sleeves? I saw on inlinepro that you had to change them.. is this true?? please help me out with this I don't feel like spending more money then I have to with this.. if anyone want's to know I want to max boost it at 17psi when I get done.. thank you guys for your in put on this..

I am pretty sure you need to change the sleeves if you use different pistons.

Honestly you dont want to take any shortcuts or cut any costs when doing this, you might have to bite the bullet on some extra charges but it will save you from doing this all over again very soon down the line.

Stock FRM liners need stock pistons. Use thicker head gasket to drop compression with stock pistons.

To use aftermarket pistons, you need iron sleeves.
