I tend to avoid fibreglass and blankets as much as possible for that reason. They may be nonflammable, but if you get oil or fuel on them, they're basically a gigantic candle wick. If you can with the wraps you're using, it's worth using the ceramic/silicone sealing sprays over the surface to try to stop any absorption.

Well you could route the vent lines more efficiently. For example use straight fittings or 45*'s and take the lines AROUND the turbo instead of those 90*'s putting the lines right on top of the turbo. The lines will be longer but you will save yourself tapping a new cover. Hell follow the lines you have wrapped in the foreground of the above picture. Maybe some ceramic wrap heat protection on them for extra insurance.

I know old thread, was just watching a vid talking about this and people were claiming cheap chinese blankets will do this, but I'm 100% willing to bet oil got on the parts that caught fire.
