If you don't want to cut the hood you could put some spacers back at the hinges of the hood to jack it up so air can escape through the cowl. I am having the same issues but on a stock cooling system but I am probably going to go the hood vent route with koyo rad.

yea im trying to find ways to not cut hood or do spacers , that to me just doesnt look good

I think the shrouded fan is going to help though

Have you tried an air dam, i had the same issue and i see this type of post every summer, i found that the solution was an air dam like the one corvettes have, never had overheating issue again, and its 110 outside

Here is a couple of pics of how its setup on my car






Yes it scrapes on bumps and on driveways but its really flexible and its does not break or crack its made for this purpose, thats why I got one specifically from a corvette C5
