With a bit of mods from the orginal kit. As the OP is new to FI i'd highly recommend him to try the kit and go from their as SoS kits are easily upgraded down the road.

You can save quite a bit if you go used. There are plenty that pop up in the FS section. Just be patient.

Thanks for the advice and honesty. I am very new to forced induction. I liked the SOS kit because it seems easy to install which I'm trying to learn anyway and I do have a friend close by to tune it. It just seems very easy to learn on. As far as the 400 HP, that's more of an eventual goal than a right away result. Know of any other small things to boost some power gains after the SC? Like I said before, I'm worried more about quality of product than price.

Yea I'm thinking about that too. Just waiting for them to figure out this "Gov't shutdown" first. Some of my extra pay has been delayed so I might have to put the project off for a bit. Just gives me a little more time to decide.

Is it ok to buy a used AEM V2? I saw a used one online for like $1000. It's not much cheaper than brand new, but saves a little bit lol.
