I had a -10an fitting on my oil pan but i swapped it for a new oil pan and decided to tap the timing cover like s2knoob89. I had a mase kit and ran it like that and didnt necessarily have any issues but decided to tap my timing cover to be sure of no oil backing up

my brother is a welder so he fabbed this up today. I'll be using it with my pfab elt top mount and i'm fairly positive it will work just fine

timing cover, but I have seen some diagrams showing that is where the F20 primarily pushing crank pressure up through so it seems like that would not be a good place.

Care to share those documents? I'm curious as this is where I am tapped as well.

Put that sucker straight into the factory oil drain
good idea ?
I would suggest against it.

x2....mine is on the stop left side of the oil pan by the ac pump

His sig says he has the PTuning kit which the turbo drains to a tee in the factory oil drain. The other side of the tee goes to the oil scavenging pump.

Not advised to drain here unless you are running an oil scavenging pump.

From what I just read using the factory oil return line is not advisable? why?

should be at the lowest point where you can get free flow back to the pan. timing cover has proven to be one of the best spots. do it right once and be done.

I've seen plenty of people say the same about it not being a good idea and it will not work right but I've never had problems with mine being there. I'm sure the girdle or timing chain cover are more ideal options, but I think high up on the pan works fine too.

I wouldn't put it to the OEM drain bolt personally, but I've heard of people doing that as well.

Very interesting. Never heard this before. Explains a few things.
