Default Turbo Timer

I did run a search, however kept bringing up an error message. As some may know FF2Skip & I are about to install some new toys on our cars and aiming for 12psi on the Comptech Unit. Just doing a little bit of thinking I decided it would probably be a good idea to go ahead and install a turbo timer. After alot of hard driving sometimes I just dont have the time to sit around leaving the car at idle to let the supercharger cool down and do not feel comfortable leaving the keys in the car running. So I figure it wouldn't be a bad idea to invest a few extra dollars on a turbo timer.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Basicaly looking for a simple timer that is not going to completely break the bank or have numerous options that are un-needed with a million wires that have to be ran.

thanks in advance

I know a couple people that have had success with the Apexi unit. Everyone else just listens to the radio for a couple extra mintues.

Well I ran an A'PEXi NA/Turbo Timer in my Civic back in the day. It wasn't to bad of a unit & I was honestly thinking about buying another one to install, but not sure. I guess its just the Volt, A/F, and O2 Sensor readings that are extra wires I don't feel like running.

Do you have an alarm on your car? A couple of manufacturers now offer a turbo timer built into their alarm systems. It's a good way to get two birds knocked out with one stone.

Also, on a S/C the money is better spent else where. There's really no purpose for a turbo timer on a supercharger.

No, the S2 doesnt have an alarm on it. Its pretty much just a weekend toy staying in the garage a majority of the time. Any place that I do take and park it is pretty safe area so I'm not to worried about an alarm.
Right now I am doing a little bit further research on the Blitz Units.. Right now this one is catching my eye. Right around $100 and has pretty good settings on it.

That's the one I have. Works great except you can't lock the doors until it times out and the car stops running. Also serves great as a boost gauge. When I installed mine a few years ago, I couldn't find an plug and play harness so I had to hardwire it in. I would recomment a harness if you can find one. Here's a picture of where I mounted it:

If I cannot find a harness, do you think I can get a little assistance on how to hardwire it?

Probably. I didn't take good notes when I installed it, so I'll have to remove the steering wheel/column cover and see which wires I spliced into. Give me a shout when you are ready.

Another question. Does anyone know if the AEM EMS 1052-U have a built-in turbo timer?
