unless you port the WG or live in a pretty warm area you will need a cat on this kit, sell your exhaust
or take your car to a muffler shop and have them chop the exhaust and create a removable test pipe from the exhaust. that way you can still have your exhaust and have the option of using a cat or test pipe.

I did it over the weekend... Its an easy job.. I wish i would have done it before I installed the kit..( been a lot easier).... I ended up with a diamater of 28-29.. Slightly oval... I did i with just a dremmel.... If u are not comfortable with doing this kind of work im sure it wouldn't be too much to get it ported.. Took me about an hour or so. I don't have my exhaust on yet, I am gettin it put on tomorrow hopefully....I will post the results I get.

So do you think if I port the wast gate i should be safe with my 70mm TP and 70mm exhaust? If thats is all i need to do I will for sure get this kit and have a local shop do this for me. Hopefully it doesn't cost more then 100 dollars to port it.. seems like a easy job i just dont trust myself since i never done it before. ALSO when I do port the WG will i need anything else ?? maybe larger flaps ?? where do I get this?
no u won't need a larger flapper.. it has been measured at 33mm so if ur diamater is 28 or 28 that still leaves 2.5mm or 2mm each side overlap... the stock port size is almost 25mm..I have read that Taking out a couple mm out can make a huge difference in flow.... I am going to have a testpipe with 80mm exhaust....
hey guys, read through all the pages great info, had a couple questions that i didnt recall being addressed.
anyone have experience if there is cutting needed to an amuse bumper to make the front intercooler fit? also i have 4.57 gear right now, will this be too short of gears to maxmize this kits powerband? being its a small turbo i imagine it spooling quickly?
thanks for the help
