Upgrading the Boost
Im in the same boat as you Blacknugget. Im using the 7 now but want to go up. Im going to first get the 7 tunied wiht an emange to see if I can pull anymroe out of it, maybe the midrange gain will satisfy me. If not, I want to go to a 9 or 11 psi pulley.
Another question along these lines, how much boost can a s/c car run without needing internal work or at least a head gasket? I think Ive seen up to 11 with just injectors and AEM.

Thats another question I just was asking a friend. He told me reaching 12psi is sort of flirting with danger. Told me that if i do so, i may want to look into getting a thicker headgasket to lower the compression & definitely keep drivetrain parts in hand.
Maybe this will help:
Vortech bought paxton years ago and all newer paxton superchargers are not much more than reworked vortechs. Before then, paxtons used a system called ball-drive. Now they are gear drive like vortech.
I have a Novi-1200 on my Mustang, and I'm using a vortech pulley. It is exactly the same as the paxton ones.
I believe the Novi-1000 uses the same pullies as the 1200 so just buy a vortech pulley for it. There is no need to get an expensive custom pulley done. Only us guys that went with the vortech kit need to worry about that as vortech doesn't make replacement pullies in anything except what would be very high boost for the S2000 with the V2 unit.
The pullies are no more than $70 and usually less. They are on eBay often also. I happen to have a complete set of nearly every size 8 rib pulley, but I belive your setup is 6 rib? You can get many sizes between 2.62" and 3.6" in that case.

Vortech and Paxton are owned by the same company and share some technology but are still separate companies. The Paxton Novi 1000 and Vortech SQ/SS are very different SCs. The have different types of gears and different gearing ratios. And they were developed prior to the change of ownership.
A given pulley may fit on both SCs but will result in very different outputs. The 4" on my Paxton produce 8 psi but on a Vortech would be much more because the gearing it higher.
Apart from that, spot on.

Well, few new updates since last night.
I've looked through a few different web sites & spoke to a few different people to get a little bit further information.
Right now it is a toss-up between the two following:
- Science of Speed Supercharger Upgrade Kit including a 10psi Pulley, 550cc Injectors and AEM EMS. I will have to have it tuned here as I am in Virginia and they are in Arizona.
- Contact ASP to have a custom 12psi Pulley Fabricated, order 650cc Injectors and an AEM EMS.
I know need to find out if the AEM EMS is going to have a base map in it so I can drive it to the tuning shop (approximately 40 minutes away) or if i will need to pay someone to tow it.

SOS choice is the safer. it is a long trip but the reutrn will be rewarding
Driving with 12psi and an AEM base map could be dangerous, when the MAP sensor sees boost will stop/turn off the car, like runing a Comptech SC without the ESM.

as far as I know AEM comes with a base map for stock N/A set up.
The AEM has a NA base map. You just need to set the timing and you can drive carefully. You remove your SC belt and you will be NA for th edrive to the dyno.

Quick question though, wont that be really bad on car since i am also planning to upgrade to 550cc (possibly 650cc) injectors? and it is a little bit of a drive to the dyno tuning location.
