I guess my attempt to diffuse the tension with a little off-color humor failed. You guys sure are sticklers for political correctness... xviper, if you're out to start a vendetta against me over this go ahead and ban me now. I don't have the patience to trade jabs or argue opinions with you over the next few weeks because I seem to rub you the wrong way (Non-sexually I assure you ), you didn't exactly make my Christmas card list this year either...

XOXO,
Randy

Just wanted to let everyone know a quick update as to how everything is coming along with the little "Upgrade my Boost" Project.
Between yesterday & today I've dumped a little bit of extra cash in the car trying to get this all taken care of as quickly yet efficiently as possible.
I've ordered the following:
  • AEM EMS 1052-U (EMS w/ Built-In Wideband)
  • AEM Air Intake Temperature Sensor
  • AEM High Flow Fuel Pressure Regulator
  • AEM 3.5 Bar Map Sensor
  • ASP Aluminum 3.25" Pulley
  • RC Engineering 650cc Injectors
  • RC Engineering Injector Clips
Now just awaiting Skip to get ahold of Joe @ Alaniz to order our Inner Valve Springs and Titanium Retainers!

I'll keep you all updated as time goes on to let you know how everything turns out reliability and power-wise.

what was wrong with your factory AIT sensor?

If you get the stainless valves, you wont need the inner springs and it'll give you more life out of the stock cams.

The IAT was part of the package.

As for SS valves, you have to take the head off to install them, right?

Unless you find a way to squeeze the valves through the plug hole, you gotta remove the head for installation.

Find a decent machine shop as the valve seats may need to be machined at different angles than stock to run them.

We're not pulling the heads. You don't have to pull the head to replace the retainers and inner springs, right? That's why we're not getting the SS valves.

Iv'e never tried to swap springs with the head still on. If you can find a compact enough on car spring compressor you should be able to.

Chris Barry once outlined a method of replacing retainers and springs without removing the head by filling the cylinder with shaving cream.

Don't know any Chris Barry and not sure if you're pulling my leg. Usually you'll add a different emoticon if you were.
