The S2K is back up and running! Had to throw a brand new Comp clutch away because apparently those guys are still idiots and the brand new slave they supply with the twin crapped out and just leaked fluid requiring me to pull the trans a second time. Put an Exedy Twin in it instead using the stock slave and it feels amazing... should of stuck with Exedy.

Got the rings seated using the existing map and now it's time to toss in the new DV2 1500cc injectors and squeeze this little 58mm turbo for all it's got.

Yay, had some fun on the dyno (and on the way home... kink in my neck now) with the S!

Squeezed the little CT4-5862 T3 turbo for all it's got, 602whp/463wtq, but I had to jump up to 5th gear to crank the boost up since our 3000 pods maxed out with the torque this thing makes in 4th (3000 pods only hold 2250 hub tq, and 4th gear hits that @ 410wtq or so), I ran a test on WG pressure to see the difference between 4th and 5th, and 5th gear is about 5% lower, so save to say the car is 620-630whp and nearly 500tq (480-490). In any case, broke the 600whp mark. The motor is a little lower C/R (flat top pistons, no dome at all), didn't seem to hurt power pick up at all since 18.5psi made ~562 or so this time and 19.5psi made 575 last time... so no big loss.

I did note this motor spools the turbo up better, still a 2.0L, so I guess we got those rings seated pretty good

This is the comparison showing different in 5th/4th (5th lower) on WG pressure

I had to swap in a Walbro 485 as I ran into an issue with the pump I had in the tank, wired it directly to battery, required no cage modifications to fit... went in pretty easy actually. Had to make a slight adjustment to my AEM FPR (change the orifice to the .15" one instead of the .10") to bring the fuel pressure down at idle, and even so, since I wanted 54-55psi base, I ended up with 70psi fuel pressure at idle (return line too small... lol). My fuel pressure will actually drop to 55psi with no vacuum and then go back up from there, which is fine.

I have to say I am impressed with the DW DV2 1500cc injectors, they let me make over 600whp with a bit of breathing room to push to 650-660 if I had a larger turbo, maybe more if I had a pump that held volume better at higher fuel pressure's (the 485 is an amazing volume pump and I like to run them at 43psi base pressure, but then you need those miss miss miss 2200cc injectors to take full advantage of the pump), and with ~80psi fuel pressure the pressure drop was starting to show a bit, but nothing crazy. Even with the high fuel pressure at idle the injectors are only a little poppy, way better than any of the 2200's on the market (and I've used them all, ID, FIC, FID, DW, the list goes on). These injectors are also super super smooth and very predictable at light throttle driving, no BS with them at all.

Overall very happy with the results, wanted about 600whp out of the car, and got it! Nothing crazy done to the fuel system -- just a good pump and a good injector. The AEM Infinity still pleases me quite a bit every time I plug the laptop in and the v96 update recently was quite nice.

A little video treat...

Looks very good, a 4000rpm Powerband is ideal for a street car, I bet it's a blast to drive.

Wow this looks like a really nice kit! Have you had any heat issues with it at all? Are you running an oil cooler? Don't worry about your oil temps, or melting anything under the hood at all?

I love how you were able to make crazy power without relocating the battery/fusebox or AC lines

I'm still using the factory oil cooler, and haven't had any temp issues at all even running the stock radiator. Granted Oregon doesn't get that hot out... Haven't melted anything under the hood, did use a fair bit of heat wrap on important bits, etc. Downpipe is wrapped and the turbo has a blanket, which helps a lot.

PRL did a fantastic job making their kit, we just modified the downpipe a bit for my turbo of choice (I like my Comp's and they come with a 3" vband outlet vs the 2.5" that's on their standard kits).
