V1 was worse. But then again all the sc kits have had problems with rnd. And about the smog thing i don't care cuz I see this as a race item. And mine is racecar only. But I can see why ppl would like these on streets. Then ur best bet is maybe comptech. And btw I was just putting it out there when these kits run the same about of power ( say 500whp) the carb legal kits will slip more often than the kw or sos kits. This is my personal experience as I have talked to many drivers on track about their kits. And when I rode pass I can feel the belt slip. But like u said for ppl that want a street kit the comptech and vortech r very good. Hks maybe the best?? Is it even carb legal?? V3 kw kits might use a 10 ribbed belt with a manual adjusting tensioner so u can really tighten it up. These r rumors iv heard. Don't quote me on this.
