You need to make sure that you are tightening the lock nut all the way. It's in a flaming pain in the ass location, which makes it difficult to get a wrench on. A thin wall "tappet" wrench works well to tighten the lock nut.

My belt was loose three days ago just after a dealer install of the new MAP sensor. I am so cynical that I first thought that maybe they had loosened it. The SC has been on for over 2 years and 16,000 miles and this is the first time the belt has been loose. After tightening it up, I took it for a test run and after about 10 miles returned to find it loose once again. Retightened it the next day and now all seems well.

Some blue loc-tite might help, keeps things in place. I used some on my intake manifold after installing my Spoon ventuli plate becasue the bolts would vibrate loose and cause a vacuum leak.

A dealer tech has better things to do than crawl under your car and loosen a PITA tensioner for no reason My $$ is on them joyriding the car before you got it back.

Or weaken the threads on the adjuster. Without the jam locknut done up fully, some or all of the belt tension is held by the adjuster. That's not what it's there for.
