i havent posted on this board in years but anyway i have a few questions:

i have a supercharged 2001 s2k only about 40k on it with 30k on the vortech supercharger, i've noticed that my engine has been idling louder and louder over the years. is this normal? have any others with vortech superchargers experienced this? I think i got the second batch from vortech when they first came out. maybe i'm just being paranoid.

also, due to financial issues, i've been running with the stock clutch since i got the supercharger. i think it's time i finally change it. does any one have any affordable/practical suggestions for somebody who just got out of college? (it is my daily driver) thanks in advance.

 

Idleing higher (as in RPM) or just louder? Is the whole range louder or just Idle? What is louder, the SC, or the exaust noise? Just a wild guess, did you check for a vacuum leak? How about exaust leak?

Come to think of it.. its just louder in general just really noticeable when at idle. i know its coming from under the hood. its sort of a vibrating undulating noise. i have not noticed any change in performance to my knowledge, but then again i dont push it often due to the stock clutch.

 

I found it to be rather inexpensive and it grips great.
