So the car is at the tuner again and they are saying they see about 6 lbs of pressure in the exhaust they are playing to run it now with open headers to see if that is the problem. Anyone have any ideas?

Ran leak down test everything is good, ran open header same thing, disconnect box same thing... sigh don't know what could be wrong

 

Check you coil pack man. Check the wiring on them. Just trying to throw some ideas in the mix. And you didn't change anything on the black box you got from me right?

 

I know it's beating a dead horse but spend the money and get an AEM. I tried several things before getting the AEM and lets just say I wish I would have done it first and saved time, agravation and money. If your going to spend the money to add boost, do it right.

 

I don't have the money for ems right now. I just want it to run correctly for the time being until I can get ems.

Do you guys think the ecu is seeing boost and is retarding the timing without throwing a cel?

 

Have you tried pulling the black box and running a Blox map block spacer or similar item yet? That would rule out the black box and map sensor seeing boost..

 

They had disconnect the box and ran a pull that way and the cat bogged out and threw a cel. Should I jus go and get a map clamp and see if that helps?

 

Yeah would be good to remove the electronics to eliminate that as an issue.
Good chance you will just need to get aem ems to get it to run right though. I was in denial for a good while as well until I finally got it and car runs perfect ever since.
