In my experience some Vortech units are louder than others. If the impeller shaft wobbles then the bearing is already shot.
Agreed. Guys, an easy test is to disconnect the intake and make sure the impeller shaft has no wiggle at all. In addition, disconnect the exhaust side and take a look to make sure you aren't getting excessive blow-by (oil).

It's not too big a deal if your SC is going. Both the Paxton and Vortech units are rebuildable for about $500 and it's good practice.

Good luck!

well my kit didn't have the an airbox cover so i'm guessing that could be the reason why it's sooo loud. Also I have an exhaust leak. But I guess changing fluids(tranny, diff fluid) if anything should be helpful.

Huh? How are the tranny and diff related to supercharger whine? They aren't. They are completely unrelated.

^ true however since the whine get's louder and louder as the rpms raise, bydoing these fluid changes if they turn out to be related to those instead of the sc than it's a fix nonetheless.

Wobble is bad. Is pulley on tight? Is it bent? Did you buy the pulley used?
