Vortech Whine.
wow that loud? and ihave a vented hood too. i expecting mine to be up and running tonight. I wonder if its going to be louder than the j's 70 rr? On another note, is there a break in period on the Vortech SC?

In my experience some Vortech units are louder than others. If the impeller shaft wobbles then the bearing is already shot.
It's not too big a deal if your SC is going. Both the Paxton and Vortech units are rebuildable for about $500 and it's good practice.
Good luck!

well my kit didn't have the an airbox cover so i'm guessing that could be the reason why it's sooo loud. Also I have an exhaust leak. But I guess changing fluids(tranny, diff fluid) if anything should be helpful.

^ true however since the whine get's louder and louder as the rpms raise, bydoing these fluid changes if they turn out to be related to those instead of the sc than it's a fix nonetheless.
