Reuse the stock sock without question. The angled sock is for an Integra where it sits flat on the tank floor. I know of another turbo car with the angled pickup sock that ran out of fuel on the track and it took jacking the car up from the right side after adding a few gallons (the gas station is several miles away) to get the pump to prime.

If you don't wish to use the sock that comes with the Vortech pump and rotate it, I would suggest buying a new OEM sock. Getting at it is such a PITA. You may as well put in a new one while you're at it. They don't cost much.

I don't think so, but if you go to Vortech's site they basically give you the walkthrough. It's not bad to change at all once everything is out of the way, just not much room to work, much easier on my Civic, lol.
