yes, you can use the nitrous map

the hobbs switch will do just what s2kart was saying, but no need to build any circuit
do u have any diagrams ??

the hobbs switch is a simple normally open switch. when it sees whatever pressure you set the switch closes, run a ground to any of the switched inputs on the ems, use that to trigger the nitrous maps and boost control.

A Hobbs switch to cut boost if water pressure is too high (from a clogged nozzle) gets you halfway. You would also need another one for low pressure detection
(for pump or electrical circuit error) and maybe a 1 second time delay relay to allow the pump to build some pressure so you don't get false readings all the time. It would work, more $$ than a transducer, but hey, it would be a simple electrical circuit vs. alittle electronics design.

You could also use a pressure window switch - beter, but I don't know if the right one exists.

why would you need a delay? so what if the pump is running, if there isnt any pressure yet there is no reason to have the boost go up/switch on the nitrous maps.

if they make such a thing as a normally closed hobbs switch, you could use that one for the higher pressure (clogged nozzle) shut off, just wire it inline with the other hobbs switch.

no need for relays or anything, just a wire going to ground then a wire going to the ecu.

for activation, use a toggle switch in the car to send a switched input to the ems, then an LS or HS output linked to the switch to turn on the water meth whenever you reach a certian condition, throttle, coolant temp, engine speed, etc, etc. the output activates the water/meth system, once the system is pressurized the ecu sees the switch from the hobbs switches go on, raises boost and switches to nitrous maps or whatever else you want (make the CEL come on, etc)

edit: mad MS Paint skills bring a simple wiring diagram!

I checked out those links posted, good stuff. I am going to take that into heavy consideration when I do my setup.

I still maintain that if you do the install properly, and keep an eye on everything, know your car meth can be a great benefit, but like anything it does an another point of failure.

Thanks for posting this Joey.

personally i dont think the risks outweigh the benifits ... unless you cant get race gas at all, i wouldnt recommend water/meth.

If you are limited to pump gas, build a low compression motor and make the power you want.

if you are on a stock motor.. build one, its going to break water/meth or not. lol
