Wastegate Set Up
You might be overthinking this. You want the wastegate to be in line with what the turbo is doing because it is regulating the output of the turbo, no what is going into the motor. What is going into the motor is always going to be slightly lower than what the turbo is producing because of pressure loss through the charge piping and intercooler. Trust us, it's no problem and your tuner will make sure you hit your boost target.
The further away your wastegate gets is boost reference from the turbo, the slower it will react.

I am trying to over think. Hah but when you say for the wastegate to work, you mean for it to open , no? My thought is there are people who use a vacuum line after the throttle body for the waste gate feed. My argument is that in theory you want the most accurate boost that your motor will be seeing to be what is also fed to the wastegate. I wouldn't want the tuned to just merely "tune around this". With the line from the close to the throttle body it may be say 2 feet longer at a maximum. So is there cold hard facts showing why a longer line wouldnt just be negligible? I just want to understand. I think ill be tapping the first ic pipe but I haven't decided.
