What else do I need
Hey guys,
I've been itching for more power lately and have started my quest for 12psi. I'm an AP1 and so far I have a 4.2" pulley, 650cc injectors, and engine management.
What else do I need?
-Head Gasket?
-APR Studs?
-Map Sensor?
Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
Nate

Map sensor will be needed. Head gasket and studs are not needed if you have a good tuner. I would get three of the titanium bolts for the vtec solenoid bracket.

I would also make sure you have the 4 hole oil-jet bolts (also known as Banjo bolts) If your car is a late 2002 or a 2003 it will have them. If it is a 2002 be sure to check the last four numbers on the motor. I believe it is 5385 and above have the revised bolts.
I am running 14psi with supporting mods on stock cr. I am going to be swapping retainers soon (AP2 most likely) to ensure I do not drop a valve. That may not be needed though but gives me piece of mind.
I highly recommend the Hondata 4-bar Map Sensor. It looks almost identical to OEM and fits perfectly in the OEM location.

Sounds like a plan.....Could you give me a little detail about the oil jet bolts (what they are, where they go, where to buy them, etc.) I have a 2001 so I guess that'll be on my list
Thanks for the advice!

They are the oil jet bolts under each cylinder. To get to them you need to take the oil pan off. In 2002 Europe did a recall on all s2000s due to oil starvation at high rpms. In the US they didn't do the recall and instead just switched over half way through 2002. Basically the old bolts have 2 holes that spray oil whereas the new bolts have 4 holes. The reason why the recall was in Europe was due to the autobahn, but having the new bolts in an FI car is good piece of mind.
