I am just afraid the car won't let me go into Vtec if the temp gauge is showing cold, or is that completely idiotic and it doesnt work like that?

 

temp gauge just displays what is sent to it. your aem ems will dicatate when vtec engages. what evans setup is what will happen. my feeling is the dash gauge is just tempermental.

i bet the actual number is fine in the software, its just the driver that tells the dash to display that is acting weird.

 

Yea, when it is shwoing full hot I can shut the car of, turn the key to the ACC position, the Water temp does its full scan then shows its correct temp
