Would you install this head?
So I'm going to start my turbo build next month and need some opinions....
Quick background: Had a SC'd AP1 which I recently returned to stock (to sell). Picked up an AP2 and I'm going turbo ('04, 25k miles)
I was running an Alaniz PnP head on the AP1 (built for boost, same specs as the head Sideways uses). Head has been removed and has ~1500 miles on it.
Turbo kit is a Full-Race GT35.
So my dilemma is...do I install the head on the AP2 or sell it? Looking for some pro's and con's
Things I can think of:
- I have it sitting there, might as well throw it in
- It def. has a "bling" factor
- Might help make more power at same boost level?
But:
- If I don't use it I won't have to crack open the motor
- Could sell it to offset some of the costs of turbo kit
- Is it really going to make much of a difference (spool time/power)?
Give me your opinions

I would not crack open the motor unless you are looking for more than 500HP at the wheels.
You are much better off selling the head and using that money on the front end to do everthing right the first time. Just have the head hot tanked can cleaned and you should be able to get a $1500-$2000 for it. With that kind of money you can buy a better flowing manifold, turbo and intercooler that will make up for more than the head could ever deliver.
Call up Mase he can set you up with a very nice bolt on kit that makes fantastic power with almost ZERO permenent modifications.

+1jw

Id just use it lol. Its really not THAT big of a job but like the other 2 guys said, it really wont make to big of a difference unless youre looking for crazy numbers. If you are in the future, box it up and put it in a corner in the garage
