The Dragon has an added component of safety in that it does not have any intersections throughout the entire 11 mile segment. That is difficult to find on any other road.
here's a few pictures of my last run with my co-worker last month.

the vista viewpoint at the end of S7 to cool down the cars.

following on S7

weekdays are the best times to go because there's no one to slow you going up or down.

I can promise you that the Dragon experience on the whole is unlike any other out there. Are there better roads, possibly, but the setting and the enthusiasm of the road will never be matched IMO.
Trail Braking oversteer on the Dragon FTW!!

I've driven many roads and after driving a few runs on the Dragon I was exahusted. It's intense how fast the switchbacks come and the few banked turns. Never imagined that somthing like this existed on public roads. I've watched tons of film and seen maps but when I finally drove it it was 100x's more fun then I imagined.
Although if you're into intense driving then it's probably not for you. The region however, like DSR mentioned offers tons of sweeping turns and high speed runs.

came across this and remembered a post a long way back. finally someone filmed S6 in the S but i wish he also filmed it going down and he should have taken vids of S7.

i've driven the dragon 3 times (albeit, never with the s) but it sure is addicting.
shenandoah valley (virginia area) has some nice runs as well
i'd say pch and palomar mtn (judging solely from vids and testimonials - i've never driven them) offer better views but arent as challenging
