NOT to detract from the NON-supercharger content of recent posts BUT ...............
I'm sure there are many of us who are sitting at the window looking in at what's been transpiring with this kit. Some have decided that it's just not worth the money, especially those who have been following the "Road & Track" article. Some are sitting on the edge of their seats waiting to hear more and more on the ongoing issues at hand so they can truly decide if this is a mod for them. I'm one of the latter. I've almost zeroed in on a good price and a source. Now I've been just waiting for those who have had this kit put on, to come back with more comments and observations. In particular, with regards to those "issues" that popped up during and shortly after the installations. Issues to do with "more tuning needed", wrong wiring, inability to go past 8K rpm, etc. We've not heard any specific mention from you about how well these issues have been resolved, if at all. Have you "done more tuning" to resolve the reasons why you needed to do more tuning? And how did that go? When you got the correct wiring, what was the result? When you changed the plug gap, did the engine rev to redline? Or was there something else? Can this kit be just bolted on without anything further to do? Or will it be a nightmare without much more "stuff" to do? Any such "follow up" information would be of great benefit to us.
For those of us who are somewhat ready to open up our bank accounts, the lack of this follow up information makes keeping our wallets closed somewhat more compelling. Of course, there is no compulsion for you to say anything further. You could basically say, "It's your money, if you don't want to buy one, then that's your choice." If that is the reply, then this too, would tell much and would be the answer that many of us need.

I am writing up something long, but it is going to take me a while as I am swamped at work.
1) My kit was bolted on. Period. They followed the instructions and the only delays were missing parts. My car does not need any tuning. It only needs V-AFC tuning to get MAX potential, just like you can with a NA F20C and a V-AFC.
2) My car is fast. VERY VERY fast.
3) My car revs to redline no problem.
4) I used NGK copper plugs one heat range colder gapped to 0.35 (see # 3)
5) It is more than correct wiring, in the initial kits, Vortech sent out the wrong ECU and the wrong wiring diagram. Like I said mine just bolted on according to the new manual.(It also helps that the boys at Evo helped co-author the revised manual)
6) Did I say my car is FAST?
7) If you want power in a bolt on kit this is the one to spend your money on. I am very impressed with the street driveablilty and performance of the car when I am not at full throttle. I am also impressed with the kit itself. No part is overlooked, every part works as it should and in conjunction with each other and stock parts.
8) Drove 300+ miles home last night to CT. Car ran perfect. Top up on the highway, hitting full boost at 9000 many many times on the ride home, I still managed 23-24mpg!
9) I can't say enough good things about all the guys I met in VA these past few days. Esp the ones at Evo(you know who you are). More on this later.
10) I will have a before/after dyno sheet soon. Going to let it break in a little more and also waiting for a day with weather similar to my baseline
I'll post a long story about my experience at Evo soon. Look for it here.

Jenner - Much thanks for your post. THIS is what I and I'm sure many others were waiting to hear. Any more such comments will be muchly anticipated. At the start of all this, on a scale of 1-10, I was sitting at about a "5". Lately I've progressed upwards to about an "8.5". Your post has pushed that to a "9". At "10", my wallet opens up.
Everything about this kit is superb.
The movies came out pretty bad but we are going to post them tonight anyways. Its hard to hold a camera steady when someone is shifting. I think its time for a video camera
If anybody has any specific questions feel free to throw me a PM and I will answer it on the board.
I am going to the strip next friday to run some 1/4 mile.
I will let you guys know as soon as I have results.

Hey Jenner... if you would be so kind as to hook us up with the following:
Baseline Dyno (before install)
Revised Baseline Dyno (after install but before tuning)
Final Dyno (after you've gotten blood from a stone as good as it's going to get)
I and many others would be VERY grateful. Myself... I just want to see how bad I'm going to spank you supercharger guys once I'm done installing my turbo.
Just kidding. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet up with you guys while you were down here. I didn't have a chance to get to Evo until today. I'm sure we'll meet up soon. Good luck, and congrats!
