How do i view wmv files????

How do i view wmv files????
Every time i try to view one of thies files the page comes up with a whole bunch of symbols.....I tryed to download windows media player 4 win xp and it will not let me setup correctaly. Any one know what to do????

wmv = windows media video
go to www.windowsupdate.com and do a scan for system updates. windows media play 9 is one fo the updates. doing all the updates may be a good thing for you to do to keep your computer up to date also.

Dude, do not click on the link.
Right click and if u r using netscape select "Save link target as.."
Choose where do u want to save it.
Then go to that path and double click it.

well here is the thing some files will work and so wont......some vids will but like the vid of an s2k witth ind. throttal bodies wont work on my pc......I get a page that is just symbols it almost looks japaneese

If a video is compiled using divx you'll need to update/install the current divx codec. I know you can download them at www.download.com, just do a search there.
