Why didn't you fix the passenger window before paint?
A better question would be: "Why didn't you pull the whole interior while you were repainting?"

Eh, it's my first time doing this. My painter said it wouldn't be much of a problem to mask over the window and just do the exterior. Now that the clear coat is on, I'll strip the interior, including door panels and get to that damn window. And then, because of my brain fart, I'll see what the paint looks like under the interior pieces and see if I want to refinish anything under there. I shudder to think of bringing it back into the booth again to paint the inside, but if I need to- I will.

Or maybe I'll just weld in a cage while the interior is out.

10 Done with clear coat

I didn't mean to bust you out on the PS I just thought that gradient overspray looked like PS and I wasn't sure if you were mixing media at all.

Ha ha. I know, the gradient looked all out of place. No more, I promise!

11 Back from paint
Got her back from the paint booth, and dropped in the F20 powerplant. Wouldn't you know it, everything fit like a dream (I did test fit it before paint of course.) I was worried I might have to bump the hood or something ghetto like that, but not necessary. In order to get the shifter where I needed it, the engine is pushed forward a little further than I'd like. But I figure there's not much I can do about that, and since the shell weighs ~1600 lbs or so traction will be hard to come by no matter where the engine is.

Engine specs are pretty tame, the biggest deal would be the ITB's, otherwise it's pretty simple stuff, header, straight pipe, minor headwork, etc. Should be pushing 240+ RWHP, if I ever get around to dynoing it. (I won't.)

While I was at the paint shop, I had some additional pieces sprayed..., but I decided to restore her back to her full glory OEM spec before doing any modifications. I figure that way I can see what she looked like from the factory first, THEN do some tweaking. So, I polished up the stock wheels, and while they're nothing special, they take a shine pretty well. New bumper is on its way, and I've gotten all the trim pieces back from the plating shop. Can't wait to get all the stuff up on there.

Oh yeah, also- pulled the seats/interior for refinishing.
