hmmm so your comparing these intakes to tat of an F1 car...... . Different class man. All your doing is rambling on about random shit to try and make your point seem godly.

Another peron who thinks for some reason thnks I attacked the buyer fo having it. Read back I complimented his buy, but didn't agree with the pricing for what you get with it. Can I afford this intake, yes, would I pay 3g's for it, no! Why? I would rather waste 3g's on something that will actually make a difference. Or else I would need some very good reasoning behind buying an intake worth 3g's.

I'll leave it at that because obviously no matter what is said you guys seem to think that the people that actually are surprised he would pay 3g's for an intake are hating on him because as you say " we cannot afford it, so we bitch about others that can."

I know most of you guys actually track your car, and feel these intakes trully benefit you. Yet most of the well built, full striped, track S2000's in America use intakes such as the V2. Why? because it has been proven that an intake gives you minimal gains, but they would rather save money buying a "crappy neon looking intake" that does the same thing if not better then one worth 3g's.

I have to give a to this piece... Very nice. That being said we have seen these on the Japan auction site, used at around $1400-$1600 USD. Only thing is you need someone over there to ship which is a PITA. But if you have relatives over there, you can get them also in the Super Autobacs used parts section for about $1500 USD. My buddy saw them over there too at about the same price. Not knocking the $3000 tag but if your in Japan you can pick them up for a little less used. Just bring a empty backpack with some padding and put it in there...

I have to give respect where respect is due. MedicalStudents car is coming along nicely..

BTW, 5ft box? They didn't save you anything on shipping that's for sure.
Shipping wasn't much. Plus I got a free ASM radiator plate to go with it. to Ben

The intake was a compromise on many issues: track, reliability, fitment to my front bumper, frequent floods, and looks. The only thing it doesn't compromise on is price. AEM is a great intake but I want to make some use out of the SS inlet. This car is mostly a daily driver. If it was strictly a track car, there are certainly cheaper, better ways to approach this.

I didn't know about that until last month, long after I paid for it. Probably would be more fun to spend the $1500 saved on a trip to Japan just to buy the intake.

Extremely nice and rare intake. I look forward to your review and more photos of it.

HvRRZ, stop hating and stop trying to justify your hatred. Jealously is such a horrible thing. Oh and as one AEM owner to another, AEM sucks. Don't even mention AEM in the same sentence as ASM, Amuse, Mugen, J's Racing or GruppeM.
