Great read, I love how the S truly can appeal to so many people, and this thread shows me that age truly is just a number. I hope that when Im older I still have an undying passion for all things auto, just like yourself.
An old thread of mine Sadly the ISP that had hosted the pictures that were in this thread stopped which is why they no longer appear. I could upload most of them again but....
Thought I'd update things a bit. Finally removed the Coastal Metals lip protector. It did it's job for almost 18 years. But a brief encounter with one of those horizontal concrete parking space stoppers roughed it up enough to warrant junking it as beyond repair.
Also just completed a weekend detailing session. 36,750 on the clock now. Folks at Advanced Auto Repair in Rapid City just had it in for a once over. Place specializes in local exotics and high end cars. They had a 911 turbo convertible, a Boxster and a Range Rover on the lifts when I was there. They said it was like a new car it was so well maintained. Can't get compliments any better than that!
Did the '11 Sonata Ltd too. It has 13,915 on the clock. An interesting aside: compare the same year Lexus ES and see the similarities.
Been a long time since I have seen that car! Still looking good!
Thanks Tej! I take good care of her.
If you're curious, search for the Sheridan Lake Road Project. Some interesting videos showing the $22M project to straighten out the road.
So sadly the beautiful 15 and 25 mph curves through the forest will be gone. Too many alcohol related fatalities prompted this.
