thanks bro, actually after talking to you last night, and finding out about one other successful story about PPG products, I actually went ahead and had them use PPG products instead of the stuff they were using. I think it was matrix and house of kolor.

Should be good, can't wait to see it.

You chose PPG over house of Kolor?

Anyway, good luck with the car.

Totally loving the Moonrock Grey paint job, and the added Blue Pearl really made this shit sexy.

I don't know man, I thought PPG was the top of the line one used by exotics like Ferraris and stuff. I also saw a few really great outcomes with PPG. One of them being my buddy's Supra. And the price was higher too. The House of Kolor Clear coat for example was 98dollars for a gallon kit. While the PPG was 320 something. So I just paid the difference to the body shop.

What? PPG clear shouldn't cost $300 a gallon! Something is wrong here. I would probably pick Spies Hecker over PPG as well as far as an OEM supplier. Either way, your paint is only as good as the prep, so I am sure that everything will be fine. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Oh, btw, A number of cars on the custom car circuit use House of Kolor.

Yeah idk man when I researched, I found out the House of Kolor is really good for custom paint jobs, but that also means that it is good for cars that are garage queens. PPG was more for being daily driven, and easier to match too.

Look forward to seeing it all painted! I'm sure it will look awesome, especially if you're planning on wetsanding/polishing it! Moonrock is such a great colour!
