Saving a babied Ap1. Moonrock Content FINALLY inside :)
Finally my baby is out of the paint booth. I had gotten used to going to the shop everyday and seeing the S look like shit. Today was a totally different story.
Just to give you an idea, the base coat was Moonrock Metallic (OEM EDM S2000 Color). Then in the clear 4th last coat of clear, blue pearl was added. And the 3rd last coat had extra pearl in it, but just the top portion of the doors, fenders, hood and trunk were shot. This added extra pearl to the parts where the sun hits more. Then 2 more coats of clear were added.
All and all like 9-12 coats o paint+clear on the car. All the PPG products,

I have few words to say, even may be you won't like it.
Personally I would not repaint a car leaving the black tape on the windsheild frame on, also the black plastic peice around the softtop.
I do notice you have an excellent detailing skill. after seeing you polishing out the headlights and steam clearned the seats. They look so popped. Excellent job.
but meanwhile, after seeing your CM7 accord. I am a little bit worried about the final outcome would look on the S2K.
In my words, the Accord is RICEY. A sport seden with Carbon fiber hood, hood latches, racing mirrors, aftermarket headlights. The wheels are arguable, but not too bad after all.
What I want to say is, Don't go the same way on the s2k. It would ruin such a nice car.You already did a good job restoring the body and picked a nice color. so keep up the good work.
Just Come back and ask for more opinions.

Thank you sir
Can't wait to see it man, but its going to take me 1-2 weeks since I'm thinking about leaving it with the shop till it gets colorsanded and buffed.
Thanks for your suggestions buddy, appreciate it. I don't mind it. That is what I am here for,
, but to clear stuff out. The windsheild frame, I did not remove it myself because I am never planning on removing it. Yes, I could have to have the same paint all around, but Idk if me/anyone could do as good of a job rewrapping it as Honda Did. The plastic frame around softop, I have tried taking it off in another s2k of mine but messed it up badly so didn't do anything to this one.
The Accord, first of all it's not a seden/"Sedan" its a "COUPE" (2 doors, not 4). And I dont think if an Accord can ever be consider a Sports Sedan anyways. It might look ricey, because my goal was a bit to have a bit of attention to it, yet I still kept most of the OEM body parts.
Now with all that show, it did have a bit of go in it too. Full suspension upgraded to Acura TL-S ones, sway bars, endlinks, even upto the subframe. Tein Flex with EDFC. And fully ported and polished J35 Head (TL-Smotor), and intake manifold. Brian Crower retainer springs, retainers and camshafts
True Dual exhaust via custom J-pipe, 3 inch straight pipe all the way to the back.
Still ricey? I can give you some more mods too
EDIT: Not to forget those custom made projector headlights just so it does what I wanted to do. Canyon Runs

@Squirtle,
when Jonathan said not to rice the car out, I was going to say who my idol for this project was, but forgot. It is SS04, has loved his work since he started and want to be the same as him. OEM looking yet still modded.
Btw, SS04 is Grigio SS not moonrock, close to it.
@Jonathan, but still thanks for your comment bro, I do agree that my Accord was on the RICE side
, I wanted to be like that. Not this car though.

His car is my goal for now, but Idk if I can achieve that easily. His car is imo as close to OEM perfection, as one can get. Totally LOVE his car.
Thanks bro, I guess this would be a good reason for you to come out for a meet again lol. I might bring it out to March's Sears meet all wetsanded and buffed out
