Stretched tires

Five pages and not one mention of main performance aspect of "stretching" a slightly narrower tire on a wider wheel.
"MADE in JAPAN" eluded to it but no one picked up on it. Some racecars and most all "drift cars do this to counteract tire rollover which affects cornering perfomance of the car. Not all tires had/have the stiffest sidewall so this was one solution. As long as the tire size was in an acceptable range in relation to the wheel width there are almost no drawbacks.
IMO, this is why the "import scene" is absolute garbage! So many folks out there doing thing for "looks" and don't understand the real performance aspect.
Then you have the by-product which is those who bash/"hate" and think everyone does this just for looks.
