Hey, I recognize those cars, they were @ NOPI! They were sick machines in person. Somebody spent alot of time and money on modding those cars up. Too bad they weren't ran on the dyno.

Also -- that one filter...situated low down, right in front of the block, behind the radiator: I hope the rest of the system overcomes the losses from what would seem to be a very warm place to draw air...

That figure of 600 degrees celsius doesn't sound right to me. That equates to 1112 degrees F. There's no way the air around the air intake would be that hot, as that is close to the temps inside the exhaust manifold. That must be a wrong figure.
