Why would you remove the apron parts before the car goes on the frame machine?

Great question. It was hit in a way that ripped it off of the frame rail. it was no longer attached in a way that would pull out. The damage was limited to that apron and radiator support so the other aprons were not damaged. Just die grinded the spot welds and off she came. I ordered the new apron on friday so they will be able to test fit before giving the frame a clean bill of health.


I guess the simple answer is... that it wouldn't have pulled out and had to be replaced anyways. Any pulling in the radiator support/apron area would have ripped it right off.

Dropped off at the body shop for pulling and fitting of apron and radiator support. Updates this week.
