Nice to see dead s2ks being resurrected back to life, I started looking at Iaai.com to see I could do the same but I don't have the time for a project.

I had no idea you can bring these cars back from the dead. Does it affect the performance of the car I.e. alignment issues and what not? So far the car looks great! Keep up the good work!

Sweetdill's post is very true. Good luck fitting the and aligning the body panels properly back onto the vehicle. Looks like a file and reemer is gonna be your best friend for the next few days, and that's the wrong(ghetto fab) way to do it, sorry to tell you. You always do your heavy pulls before cutting the radiator support or any apron/structural component, after your pull you cut and replace as necessary. The body shop should have test fit all the body panels(bumper, lights, fenders, hood) onto the vehicle before any welding of frame parts were done. Hope you don't take my post as being offensive in any way, just advising. I'm a second generation body shop owner that's been in my dads body shop all my life and been doing it full time for half my life(17 years). Let me know if you need any advice. Good luck with the rebuild.

A lot of people wouldn't do this. Depending on the damage i would.

50% of S2K's in my country were involved in accidents.

Just an FYI the radiator support and passenger apron were ripped off of the frame rail. You could have pulled all day and it wouldn't have mattered. They weren't attached. Having said that, the apron and radiator support were clamped on and Fenders were test fitted and they lined up before welding was done. My family has been in the body business for 40 years, i wouldn't have done anything that was advised against. I suppose If you keep following this thread you will find that it comes out as good as new. No offense taken. I can see the body guys cringe because they don't have all of the information and the process pictures of the pull.
