Are you getting the frame rail pulled or cut/replaced? Can you give me a rough estimate of how much the body shop is charging just to get everything straight?

Let us know how she comes along, I want to do this later in the year for the track project.

Why would you remove the apron parts before the car goes on the frame machine?
Great question. It was hit in a way that ripped it off of the frame rail. it was no longer attached in a way that would pull out. The damage was limited to that apron and radiator support so the other aprons were not damaged. Just die grinded the spot welds and off she came. I ordered the new apron on friday so they will be able to test fit before giving the frame a clean bill of health.

I guess the simple answer is... that it wouldn't have pulled out and had to be replaced anyways. Any pulling in the radiator support/apron area would have ripped it right off.
I see from the pics that they aren't repairable, but If I'm the Body Shop, I want as much of the car thats going to be replaced to be there, just so I can attach to it, and make my pulls on sheet metal that doesn't matter because the pulling can be pretty violent. Now you have to make your pulls from sheet metal that you intend to keep, and you may have to make more pulls, because you lose the geometry of the sheet metal from the rad support to the apron to the rail. It's a moot point if what you removed was torn to the point that it no longer offered any structural integrity.

Looks like a really good find for the price, good luck!
