Most 6 speed trannies require you to push down to go into reverse. They are rare enough still that many people wouldn't have had the opportunity necessarily, but it's something indicitive of the style of transmission, not an S specific idiosyncracy.
The best story aside from the original story, 3yrs LOL, was the story about gettin jumper cables to start the brand new car cause they didn't know bout the start button, hahahahhaha, i would of did a quote but i for got what page that was on.
But it took me 2 months to find it and i think one day i decided to flip through the manual, i was to busy enjoyin the car to read the manual, but the gas door was a classic, even with lookin at the owners manual i still couldn't find it, took me bout 20mins.
The funny part is when ppl can't find the door handle or locks to get out of the car, lol
and about the reverse i let my mom use the car while i was out of town, she called me early in the morning pissed cause she couldn't reverse the car LOL.

you might have to take a little time...
sorry I didn't read through the full thread, but that some funny $hit.
I had my motion sensor of the alarm mounted in the front part of the secret compartment. someone had a cd changer set up back there as well, that was pretty cool.
The other secret compart in the trunk is neat if you are modding your car with some ICE. Any CD changer, DVD changer, Xbox/PS2 fits there I think. I never did that myself but I did take a peek and it didn't look too bad. Couple of the locals have their ICE set up back there.
