I would try to clean up the exhaust port, but as far as the collector it shouldnt make a huge difference since the exhaust is flowing the other way.

Hey guys, I need a little bit of help. I have basically got my search narrowed down to 3 different (or seemingly different) headers on Ebay. Which one should I choose? OBX Header, JVT Header, and Glazious Header.

2-4whp for 80 bucks and less weight plus a little bit of looks factor not bad at all. plus installation isnt that hard.

you can alway use a flexiable dremel extention to correct this in the collector and just clean up the ones by the flange. my berk was not the prettiest on the inside also.

Bump for some corrected info.

The purpose of wrapping a header is to keep the heat inside the header to increase the velocity of the exhaust inside the header. That's all well and good but the thing you will notice the most is the reduced IAT's from all the heat being kept inside the primaries and not radiated into the engine bay. Less heat in the engine bay is better for virtually every component in the engine bay.

If these headers are stainless steel then the wrap shouldn't affect them too much. If you have a ceramic coated header or a painted header then yes the wrap will rust it in no time. One of the main purposes of stainless steel is to stop rust. Your main concern will be the header cracking.
